Supplier approval, quotation, testing, inspection and reports to Quality Management System AS9120A protocols assures customers only genuine parts supplied

Aerco, the distributor and stockist of electrical and electronic components servicing hi-reliability markets, announces that it has adopted SAE International Standard AS6081, the recognized protocol for counterfeit avoidance. With the ever-present and increasing risk of counterfeit components entering the supply chain, particularly in hi-reliability markets, Aerco has instigated the full gamut of practices demanded by AS6801 for the avoidance, detection, mitigation and disposal of fraudulent/counterfeit parts.

Aerco, which is a member of the Electronic Resellers Association (ERAI), is certified to AS9120A (EN9120:2010), a company-wide quality management system, and its policy deals directly with the four tenets of AS6801 to guard against the possibility of counterfeit components entering the supply chain. With many decades of experience working within the military and aerospace sector, Aerco’s strict supplier approval process ensures only genuine and fully-traceable parts are supplied. Even when supplying difficult-to-source components, Aerco’s quotation process is visible to the customer and all parts are subjected to an approved testing process, with inspection and test reports supplied.
