Hinged Sliding Ratchet Clamp

HellermannTyton’s Hinged Sliding Ratchet Clamp (HSRC), within the Cable Ties & Fixings product group, is now PADS approved under certificate PA05/02875. The clamp is designed for wide-diameter cable retention in transport and infrastructure environments, supporting controlled routing, repeatable installation, and future maintenance.

The HSRC combines a hinged clamp body with a ratchet closure and a releasable sliding mechanism, allowing varying cable diameters to be managed within a single system. This adjustability helps installers add or remove cables without replacing the fixing point, essential on overhead gantries and mass transit assets where access windows can be limited. The HSRC family is easy to install and retrofittable using standard M6 bolts, supporting upgrades to existing routes across road, railway, and wider infrastructure projects.

PADS approval from Network Rail is essential for components used in UK rail infrastructure.  The HSRC is V0-rated and tested against EN 45545-2, has excellent vibration resistance and UV resistant for long-term outdoor applications. Combined with its lightweight design, this can reduce handling effort and support efficient work at height, while maintaining secure cable management in challenging operating conditions.
