Introducing the Hirschmann RSP-Smart

The Hirschmann RSP-Smart Industrial Ethernet Switch is engineered for maximum network availability, making it ideal for demanding environments such as transformer stations and utilities networks. Designed to ensure uninterrupted data communication, even in the event of a fault, the RSP-Smart is a cost-effective solution for maintaining smooth production processes under extreme conditions.

Equipped with six Fast Ethernet ports for twisted-pair cables (100 BASE-TX), and optional configurations with two or four SFP transceivers (100 BASE-FX), the RSP-Smart supports precise time synchronization compliant with IEEE 1588v2. The switch also features robust security mechanisms, including role-based access to protect against unauthorized entry. To further enhance network reliability, the RSP-Smart employs MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol) and RSTP (Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) redundancy methods, with additional models supporting PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol) and HSR (High-Availability Seamless Redundancy) for zero switchover times.

The RSP-Smart is built to withstand harsh conditions, with an IP30 protection rating and an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C. Housed in a compact stainless steel casing suitable for DIN rail mounting, it offers versatile power supply options, including 24/36/48 V DC or 110/250 V DC and 110/230 V AC. User-friendly configuration and diagnostics are facilitated via HiDiscovery, Industrial HiVision, or a web interface, making the RSP-Smart a reliable and adaptable choice for industrial networking needs.
