SteadiShield® from TT Electronics

When engineers need multiple Ethernet screens within a single connector, TT Electronics SteadiShield® offers a compact alternative to conventional braid-and-clamp termination. Its metallised insert provides instant screen termination to a common ground, delivering 360° screening without additional components and helping improve installation repeatability in space-constrained designs. Built on MIL-DTL-5015 and VG95234 style reverse bayonet formats, the connector combines positive locking with multiple keying options for secure mating in rail, military vehicle, telecoms and industrial applications.

SteadiShield® supports five multi-pole contact styles: coax, twinax, triax, quadrax, and 10Gb Ethernet via OcTrain®, giving designers flexibility for mixed high-speed data architectures. With IP67 sealing, RoHS and EN45545-2 compliance, and a 500-mating-cycle rating, the platform is designed to protect signal integrity in braking systems, communication equipment, on-board and trackside cabling, power distribution and driver cabin electronics.  It also comes with alternative plating options, cable assembled versions and interchangeable contacts.
