TE Polamco Circular EMI/RFI Screened Backshells

Under the Polamco brand, TE offers a comprehensive range of backshell solutions for applications requiring electromagnetic interference(EMI) and/or radio frequency interference (RFI) shielding. Multiple configurations allow for the termination of individual or overall screens, all providing 360˚ protection.

Spin coupling adaptors, 2 or single piece construction, integral cable clamps, or low profile designs all offer users a wide range of choices in terms of ease of use, tooling required, or the ability to re-work the installation. In addition, all options are available in either straight, 45˚ or 90˚ versions, in all common plating finishes and materials, including stainless steel and nickel-aluminium-bronze, and compatible with all major military connector specifications.

BT series - Band strap adaptor:

Terminates a screen with a stainless steel band
Sealing and additional strain relief provided by separate heatshrink boot
Requires a banding tool

88 Series:

Commonly referred to as ‘band in a can’ adaptors
Terminates screen with a stainless steel band, but strain relief and sealing provided by a screw on clamp – the ‘can’
The cable clamp protects the screen termination area
Requires a separate band and banding tool, but no requirement for heatshrink boot

91 series – spring adaptor:

Terminates a screen with a re-workable stainless steel constant force spring
Fast reliable shield termination without the need for assembly tools
Sealing and additional strain relief provided by separate heatshrink boot

70 series – Braid tail adaptor:

Uses a pre-terminated screenbraid sock
Braid tail attached using magna-form memory ring technology
Sealing and strain relief via separate heatshrink boot

95 series – Braid trap adaptor:

Uses a barrel thread braid trap system for 360˚ screen termination
No assembly tools required
Re-workable
Cable clamp options available for extra strain relief

64 series – Cone clamp adaptor:

Uses a castellated cone to terminate individual screens
No assembly tools required
Cone clamp feature can be re-used
Cable clamp options provide additional strain relief
